Suspension Anti-Roll Bars

April 2024

These pictures feature two rear anti-roll bars (ARB), each with different thicknesses that allow more or less torsion, and thus more or less roll while the car is cornering. I welded a few sets of ARBs designed by the suspension team to help tune the car's performance for each different type of competition event.

While welding this part, I learned and then relearned the important lesson of always making sure your part is properly grounded while welding. The 3D-printed blocks that held onto the ARB pieces were fastened to the fixture plate, so there was nothing conductive connecting the ARB to the steel table where the ground clamp was attached to. Basically, I got zapped by the welder a couple times (oops).
